DISCOVER LINN
Linn is a small city located in the scenic rolling hills of Washington County in northeast Kansas.
Founded in 1877, the railroad, pushing its way further into Washington County, passed through this section. A box car was placed at about the same location where the depot was later built. The station was called Summit because it was the highest point railroad surveyors found on this branch of the Missouri Pacific. Later renamed to Linn, the city has built a rich history of business development, religious life, dairying, and community improvements, becoming a progressive hub. Read more of Linn's history here.
Today, Linn is known for its tight-knit, progressive community with many local conveniences and services.
